Q's about Firmware and Firmware Upgrades
What is Firmware? Why do I need to worry about it?
Your GNX3 is in essence a very specialized computer. The firmware is a combination of the "program" that your GNX3 runs and a bunch of data that the program uses (all of the presets, all of the drum machine sounds). The kind folks at DigiTech occasionally write new versions of the firmware to fix problems or add functionality. When you turn your GNX3 on, it tells you which version your running.

I upgraded my firmware and now the drum machine sounds bad. What happened?
You need to make sure that ALL of the files unpacked with the firmware are in the same folder before you perform the firmware upgrade.
I was upgrading my firmware, now my GNX3 appears dead. There's nothing on the display at all. Help!
There's a point in the firmware install process after which the display will go blank. If the firmware installation fails after this point your GNX3 will appear to be dead. Follow the Update Recovery process detailed on
