1)Before removing the card from the GNX3,do the CARD->PC operation, found under SETUP in the recorder area.

2) Make sure all your tracks are mono 16-bit 44k wav files. If you are not sure, and are running XP,you can right click on the file to get information about it.

NOTE: I have had fine success with stereo WAV files. The Digitech GNX Wave Converter utility will split them into left and right mono WAV's. -Rawfish

3) Use Digitech's utility (came on your CD,or download from their site) to process each wav file. This insures that they loop correctly.

4)You can either make the songs on your hard drive,or right on the card while it's plugged into the reader. It's a bit faster to do the former, and copy the whole directories when you are done.In Explorer, create a folder called SONGXX,where XX can be any 2 digit number. You must use a 0 as a place holder for one digit numbers,as in 01,02,etc.You don't need to create your song folders in consecutive order-you could start with SONG33 if you want to.For convenience, you may use a name like SONG03blues-the GNX3 only looks at the first 6 characters of the name, but those first 6 characters must be exactly as specified.

5) Copy your audio tracks into the folder you just created.

6) Rename wav files using this convention: TRAKXX.wav, where XX is any number between 01 and 08.Again,you may have a longer name, such as TRAK01drums.wav

7)Copy the song folders and their contents to the card if they are not already there, and insert card into GNX3.

8)The GNX will read the card, and you should be able to select your songs. If not, then either the wav files are the wrong format,or the naming conventions were not followed exactly.Do CARD->PC again, read the card and double check.

NOTE:the GNX3 will automatically create a file for each song called setup.txt.It contains the parameters for each song, such as if it loops or not,and the level and pan for each track. To save time, you could save a generic setup.txt on your computer and copy it into each song directory along with the wav files, but the GNX will still read the songs fine if you dont do this.
